Family History

My wife and I have have been married since 1984, and we have four children. My family and I live on a small farm where we have a menagerie of animals that have included cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, ducks, pigs...and others that I have probably forgotten. Currently we raise our own beef, keep chickens and ducks for their eggs, have one horse, and a huge garden.
I can trace my family history on my father's side back to the mid-1600s. We are of English descent, and the first Straw was born on the North American continent on August 13, 1692. You can see my ancestors against the backdrop of American history or computer history . Christian Testimony

As a new faculty member at Corban College in the fall of 2002 I was asked to share my testimony with the student body and to keep it under 4 minutes!    Here is what I shared.
